True Creation

One creates from nothing.
If you try to create from something you're just changing something.
So in order to create something, you first have to be able to create nothing.

Life is music.
The laughter of adults and the crying of babies.
The snap of firebrands, songs of mockingbirds,
Whistles of wind, cracks of thunder and lightening.
The flutter of a bird's wings or splash of a fish in a pond.
A limb crashing to the earth in the woods all by itself
Are all songs I've heard and love.

  1. One of the things I think we all share is an appreciation of simple things in daily life; sights, smells etc. Not many people tie the smell of diesel to good memories like us! Life is full of simple pleasures and the only way to enjoy them is if you slow down and turn on senses. Love ya brother!!!

  2. Funny. The first time I went to New York city the bus driving by emitted a strong diesel smell.

The Croaker docked at the lower base always smelled of diesel.

The smell of diesel always reminds me of the army because we used diesel heaters and diesel trucks.

As funny as it sounds those are all good memories!
